- (2) Overhead conveyor systems - a pre-paint conveyor system delivers units from welding to the paint line or an overhead storage area.
The overhead conveyor system can bypass the storage area and move the parts directly to the paint system. A pre-assembly conveyor system delivers units from the paint area to overhead storage, or from the paint system directly to final assembly.
The overhead conveyor and storage systems have a power and free accumulating feature, which is monitored by a Programmable Logic Controller. Like or similar units may be accumulated into efficient lot sizes, and then released to the paint system or final assembly as required.
